Ween Break Up: Band Is Done, According to Gene Ween
It appears that Ween have officially called it quits. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Aaron Freeman -- aka Gene Ween -- said he's retiring his alter ego because "it's time to move on."

The news comes after Freeman released his first solo album, Marvelous Clouds, just a few weeks ago. Last year, he checked into rehab for substance-abuse issues after several erratic performances, but says he's on good terms with the band's co-founder, Mickey Melchiondo (Dean Ween).CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY

The Necros were formed in 1979 by Barry Henssler, Andy Wendler and Todd Swalla. After existing for one year, the band recorded a five song demo at Ambionic Sound Creative Master Recordings in Toledo, Ohio. These are the first recordings of the band. Over the next few years they would go on to record some of the most important hardcore punk records ever released. Mastered from the original tape of the Ambionic session, Alona’s Dream is proud to present these songs for the first time ever in their original form on vinyl.
